The dIRE sTRAITS are more than just a band. They are a legend of modern music history from 1978 to 1991. The bROTHERS iN bAND is also more than just a tribute band – they play at such a high level that even Guy Fletcher (keyborder of the dIRE sTRAITS) mistook them for the original: “They played ‘Why Aye Man’ and I have to say I thought it was a recording of us.”
“THE LAST NIGHT OF dIRE sTRAITS PERFORMED BY BROTHERS IN BAND” is a stylishly conceived show that brings the last live concert in Zaragoza/Spain from 1992 back to the stage. The concert that ended not only the world tour “On Every Street Tour” of dIRE sTRAITS, but also their musical career.

Mark Knopfler’s playing technique was the hallmark of the dIRE sTRAITS and so it is with Oscar Rosende, the bandleader of the bROTHERS iN bAND. His voice and especially his way of playing the guitar shows us the Mark Knopfler from the 80’s and 90’s. Whose composed melodies became part of our lives and the speed of his hands surprised as much as his way of playing the guitar.
Just as important as Oscar Rosende is the spectacular band that supports the show. Nine musicians are on stage, reminiscent of the performance of dIRE sTRAITS: rhythmic guitar, electronic bass, two keyboard players, drummers, saxophonists and a very special pedal steel guitar.
